One

Today we are reading a book called One the author and illustrator is Kathryn Otoshi, this book is meant for kindergartens and grade one. The book is about a color, Blue, who is being bullied by Red and no one stands up for him. Number one comes and stands up for Blue and all the others become numbers and Red become friends. I like this book because it shows little kids to stand up for each other. I also liked this book because when everybody stood up for Blue, Red felt bad but the cheered him up even though he was mean before. Overall I liked this book a lot and I think it is a great way to teach kids not to bully other people.

Ivan: The Remarkable True Story Of The Shopping Mall Gorilla

The book we are reading today is called Ivan: The Remarkable True Story Of The Shopping Mall Gorilla, it was written by Katherine Applegate and illustrated by G. Brian Karas, I think this book is written for grades twos and threes. This book is about a gorilla, Ivan, who spent most his life in a shopping mall alone. I liked this book because in the end Ivan was let free in a zoo with other gorillas. I also liked it because it was a true story turned into a picture book.  Overall, I liked this book a lot and for me it affected me because I love animals and I am always against animal poachers.
